On their forth album, D’Sound continue on their quest; to find the ultimate hook line, flow and infectious groove. While previous outings were heavily coloured by influences from such urban genres as R&B, drum n’ bass and soul, Doublehearted is more of a back-to-the-roots character with its emphasis on classic pop-tunes and solid craftsmanship. The tight-knit trio draws on a decade of experience, exploration and pure joy presenting the listener with an album that’s the collective’s most mature outing to date. The band is now enjoying growing international attention, particularly in South East Asia, and with the strong creative flow displayed on Doublehearted, D’Sound could be in for an eventful future.sd
