May 2009 saw visiting Norway with a delegation of more than 40 international jazz aficionados. The trip concentrated on Norway’s west coast and included a visit to Bergen’s Nattjazz Festival, Bergen as well as a number of scenic locations. The delegation was treated to concerts with such heavyweights as Nils Petter Molvær, Arve Henriksen, Terje Rypdal, Ola Kvernberg and Jon Balke.

Writes’s John Kelman on his trip: ‘A remarkable three days of music, scenery and conversation, JazzNorway in a Nutshell is rapidly becoming the benchmark for exposing a country's culture to the world. With each year bringing something new to the table, it's impossible to imagine what the 2010 edition will bring, but one thing is certain: it will be well worth the trip to find out.’
