May 24th will see a-ha members Morten Harket, Magne F and Paal Waktaar performing separate concerts at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
This week has seen the threesome playing a string of Oslo gigs, each member of the hugely successful 80s pop trio giving a separate performance of solo material. A-ha front-man Morten Harket has been showcasing songs from his recently released solo album ‘Letter From Egypt’ (Universal), while Magne F has debuted new material to a yet to be released solo outing while Paal Waktaar was joined by bandmates from his own project Savoy.
Officially, there were no statements being made on whether the tree would also perform as a-ha, but eventually the three joined forces at the end of the night, playing a short set of a-ha songs as well as two brand new songs expected to appear on the band's forthcoming studio album. It is not known whether if the Royal Albert Hall performance will feature a a-ha section, but it seems likely.
In addition to the Royal Albert Hall night, Magne F is also scheduled to perform at the Notting Hill Arts Club on 23 May.
