MIC Norway Presents: Easter music

The Music Information Centre Norway wishes all of our visitors, partners and colleagues a peaceful and sunny Easter with this playlist created for the occasion.

MIC Norway’s latest addition to its playlist series is a mix of Easter music from the Medieval Age to the Present, in chronological order from Palm Sunday till Easter Day: Gregorian Easter Chant with the boys choir St. Hallvard-guttene, parts of The St. Matthew Passion for mixed choir by Trond Kverno performed by Oslo Cathedral Choir, parts of Easter music by Kjell Mørk Karlsen with Bergen Cathedral Choir, the most well-known Norwegian Easter hymn Påskemorgen slukker sorgen by Ludvig Mathias Lindeman performed by Povl Dissing and Iver Kleive, and the organ piece Påskemorgen (with unidentified composer - many of them at Spotify!) - played by Bjørn Andor Drage.

Check in after the Easter break for a not-to-be-missed ‘Live At The Office’ concert featuring Susanna Wallumrød. sd
