The latest sales figures from IFPI Norway show that both physical as well as digital sales are growing on the Norwegian market. Overall sales grew with a healthy 15% in July compared to last year.

Sales of physical units grew with 5% compared to 2008 figures while digital downloads grew with 78%.

Total sales so far in 2009 amounts to 3,6m physical units shifted, resulting in a NOK 232m turnover. 4,3m digital units have been downloaded and 168m streams generated resulting in a NOK 48m turnover.

Compared to 2008, this represents a 2% reduction in overall sales. sd
