Late February sees the Øya Festival and Music Export Norway teaming up to bring acts Young Dreams and Razika to London to play two shows. In partnership with Rough Trade, a vinyl single will also be released. The split-single is a part of a series which started with Lucy Swann and Team Me in connection with their London shows last year.
Music Export Norway and Øya have presented several Norwegian acts together before, both in London, Berlin, New York and Austin. After the Øya night in London last year, Team Me were offered several shows in the UK and gained the attention of British media and music industry.
The first night, on Thursday 23rd of Februay, will take place at The Lexington, which is also the home of the Nordic club night Ja Ja Ja. The event will be presented together with music site Rockfeedback. Here the two acts will perform in front of invited guests from the UK music industry.
The following night, Young Dreams and Razika will play at the popular Club NME at KOKO, a 1500 capacity venue. Here, the bands will play togheter with Australian act Bleeding Knees Club, who have been compared to New York Dolls and White Stripes by The Guardian.
The vinyl single will be sold exclusively through the Rough Trade stores in England and at the concerts.
Razika have been a great pop success the last year, with their own style with influences from ska, indie and new wave. Their debut album Program 91 received rave reviews when it was released last year.

Young Dreams consists of people with backgrounds from a wide range of bands from the Norwegian west coast. They create melodic music inspired by everything from acid rock to symphonic pop. Their debut album is to be released in 2012.
