The latest sales figures from IFPI Norway, including physical and digital units, indicate a 17% drop in music sales on the domestic market.

The number of physical units shifted are down 27% compared to March 2009, while sales of digital downloads rose with 34% in the same time frame.

Total accumulated sales in 2010 amount to 1,2m physical units resulting in a NOK 65m turnover. Digital downloads and revenue from streaming services amount to a NOK 31m turnover.

This represents a loss of 16% in value so far this year. sd
