MIC Norway’s latest addition to its playlist series is a mix of Easter music from the Medieval Age to the Present, in chronological order from Palm Sunday till Easter Day: Gregorian Easter Chant with the boys choir St. Hallvard-guttene, parts of The St. Matthew Passion for mixed choir by Trond Kverno performed by Oslo Cathedral Choir, parts of Easter music by Kjell Mørk Karlsen with Bergen Cathedral Choir, the most well-known Norwegian Easter hymn Påskemorgen slukker sorgen by Ludvig Mathias Lindeman performed by Povl Dissing and Iver Kleive, and the organ piece Påskemorgen (with unidentified composer - many of them at Spotify!) - played by Bjørn Andor Drage.

MIC Norway’s latest playlist is more classically themed, and features a cast of present and past top performers, ensembles and orchestras performing classical repertoire ranging from Kirsten Flagstad performing Wagner to Tine Thing Helseth’s Haydn renditions. Some well-selected Norwegian classical works have also made it to the list, including pianist Leif Ove Andsnes playing Geirr Tveitt and vocalist Marianne B. Kielland singing pieces by Grieg and Olav Anton Thommessen.
