Førde Folk Music Festival

Norway’s key folk/ethnic/world/crossover festival. This year’s festival theme is European Voices and performers from 17 European countries are set to perform in the idyllic town of Førde that is located in west-Norway. In addition to the European performers one can experience global sounds from among other countries Burkina Faso, Argentina, Madagascar, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.

Highlights? Try Gustavo Gancedo Tango Septeto from Argentina, Senge from Madagascar, Sri Lankans Thaa Drum Orchestra or Majorstuen from Norway. The programme is rich and extensive and has something to offer to most tastes.
