Last week saw Lorraine winning the prestigious ‘Best Electronic Artist’ award at UK’s BT Digital Music Awards in London. The event also marked the trio’s first major performance on British TV as they performed their hit-song Saved during the show which will be aired by Channel Four later this month.

A jury nominated Lorraine for the ‘Best Electronic Artist’ category and the general public then voted to declare a winner. Totally, more than 500 000 people cast their votes in the various categories.

This year's big winners were Muse and Radiohead's Thom Yorke who each walked away with a two awards a-piece. Other winners on the night included Lily Allen for 'Best Pop Artist', McFly for 'Best Official Website', NME for 'Best Music Magazine', MySpace for 'Best Innovation' and London Elektricity for Best Podcast. There were 19 awards presented on the night, 13 of which were voted for by music fans via www.dma06.com and six of which were decided by a panel of experts.

Runners up in the ‘Best Electronic Artist or DJ’ were John B, Rob da Bank, Pete Tong and Coldcut.

Lorraine’s ‘Heaven EP’ is out now through Sony BMG in the UK.

10 October will see Lorraine embarking on yet another UK tour with 20 gigs throughout October and November. Full details in the calendar section.
