Rec 90, undoubtedly one of Norway’s strongest independent labels whose roster includes such acts as The Low Frequency In Stereo, The Vineyards, Erlend Ropstad and Segrov, will be hosting an exclusive label night at next month’s Berlin festival/music industry event Popkomm.

The acts that will perform at Berlin’s Mudd Club on the 20th of September are Low Frequency In Stereo, http://www.myspace.com/erlendropstad, The Violent Years and newcomers The Cute Crash Combo.

The Low Frequency in Stereo is perhaps the best known act of the four having released three albums to date. Following the bands performance at the South by Southwest in Austin, Rolling Stone declared the ac the ‘cool rulers of Scandinavia.’ The Violent Years have yet to release their debut album which is expected next year. The band played a well-received gig at Norway’s Hove Festival earlier this year and spent last year touring with Woven Hand. Erlend Ropstad debuted earlier to rave reviews for his ‘Bright Late Nights’ album. The Trondheim-based The Cute Crash Combo will make their debut at Popkomm. The band was formerly known as The Fuel and scored a hit on national radio with their track ‘City Light’.
