With the aim to make the British market more aware of Norwegian music, Music Export Norway is collaborating with the British radio channel XFM and John Kennedy's X-Posure show, which has around 1.1 million listeners. The programme will feature Norwegian artists that have already established themselves in the UK as well as up-and-coming artists.

”I’ve been playing Norwegian music on my show for a long time, but after I started working on the documentary my interest has increased to a new level. It is refreshing to see that the industry actually supports creativity, and that music societies exist where artists truly encourage one another. Also, it seems like inhabitants of cities such as Oslo and Bergen have a phenomenal appetite for experimental music,” says John Kennedy.

The documentary will be broadcasted in two episodes, and later be made into Podcast on iTunes and on XFM’s and Music Export Norway’s websites. “To have the legendary radio DJ John Kennedy presenting a documentary about Norwegian music on his popular X-Posure show is a true honour, and it proves the rising interest for Norwegian music in the UK," says Jonas Vebner, the manager of Music Export Norway in London.

The documentary will involve interviews with artists such as Röyksopp, Casiokids, Ungdomskulen and Ida Maria.
