Renowned pianist Leif Ove Andsnes and South African artist Robin Rhode will combine live music and video art to turn the Queen Elizabeth Hall into an exciting exhibition space.

After seeing its world premiere in New York, ‘Pictures Reframed’ is now coming to London on 4 December. The concert hall will be transformed into an exhibition space by vibrant South African artist Robin Rhode. World-renowned Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes performs live on stage surrounded by Rhode’s video art and still imagery.

There will be two performances at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, 7:30pm and 9:30pm, with the late-night performance being a more informal presentation of the project, along with a DJ set.

Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes ranks among the leading classical performers of our time. He is not only brilliant; there is something more, something different about him: he is free. He has transcended the artistic ideal of the immense effort that culminates in the breathtaking performance. Instead he breathes. Andsnes was born in Karmøy, Norway in 1970 and studied at the Bergen Music Conservatory under the renowned Czech professor Jiri Hlinka. Andsnes currently lives in Copenhagen and Bergen, and also spends much time at his mountain home in Norway’s western Hardanger area.
