Ja Ja Ja + Vreid

Metallers Vreid will be Norway’s contribution to the Nordic club night Ja Ja Ja in London in mid-April.

Vreid 2010

The special Ja Ja Ja event in April, Curated by Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milas, will showcase three Scandinavian metal bands, where one of the bands is from Norway. Vreid, which means "Wrath" in English, was formed in 2004 by three former Windir members and a new guitarist, Ese. Their latest LP “Milorg” (2009) has proved a great success. The band are currently putting their last touch on their first DVD, entitled “Vreid Goddamnit”.

The band consists of four members, Sture Dingsøyr on vocals and guitar, Jarle "Hváll" Kvåle on bass, Jørn "Steingrim" Holen on drums, Stian "Strom" Bakketeig, also on guitar. They will be joined by Finnish speed metal band Thunderstone and Icelandic Viking/black metal band Solstafir at the Lexington on 15 April.

The April edition marks be the sixth time a Norwegian band is part of the line up at Ja Ja Ja. The concept allows Nordic Music Export offices to showcase some of the best emerging talents from the Nordic countries, and has been a huge success since launched in November 2009. Not for the faint-hearted, April’s Ja Ja Ja is going to be a formidable event.
