Silje Nergaard, Wenche Myhre, and Ephemera are among the artists who could fill their purses with trophies on Saturday night. Silje Nergaard and Wenche Myhre got the most prestigious awards, respectively Grammy of the year and Grammy of Honour.

Nergaard debuted with the Tell Me Where You’re Going-single in 1990, and has released eight albums since then. Still, this was her first Spellemannpris (Grammy), handed out by the Norwegian Minister of Culture, Valgerd Svarstad Haugland.
“I have prepared myself for this in 14 years,” Nergaard said when she happily received the prominent price.

Wenche Myhre, who for years have been popular in Germany, was touched to tears when pianist Ingrid Bjørnov and Ephemera presented a collection of her most renowned songs.
“I will not give in yet,” Myhre said.
“I work in the toughest and finest business there is, and I still don’t know what to become when I grew up,” Myhre joked.

This was the 32nd time the Spellemannprisen was arranged, and the show took place at Chateau Neuf in Oslo.
