Washington play the Club 23 Golden at the Kulturbrauerei on 30 September.


This young Tromsø-based trio are at the forefront of the new wave of bands that are now emerging from one of Norway’s northernmost cities (Tromsø – the new Bergen anyone?. Washington primed the domestic audience with two acclaimed EPs as well as a very strong appearance at the industry convention by:Larm.

More than one reviewer have compared vocalist and front-man Rune Simonsen to a young Jeff Buckley, and the pedal-steel driven tunes provide a melancholic backdrop that fits perfectly as an autumn soundtrack.

The band’s debut album “A New Order Rising” was released early this autumn to rave reviews and healthy sales. Washington are currently touring domestically in support of their album.
