At just 10-years old, Vilde Frang made her debut with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, and at 12 she was personally engaged by Mariss Jansons as a soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic. Since then she has performed all over Europe appearing in festivals such as Verbier, Schleswig-Holstein, Festspiele Mecklenburg Vorpommern and performing with Gidon Kremer and Yuri Bashmet at the Chamber Music Connects the World Festival. She has also partnered Leif Ove Andsnes and Truls Mørk in Norway.
Now aged 20, Vilde has won numerous prizes and awards, from among others the Danish Lèonie Sonning Music Fund. Since 2003, she has been supported by the Anne-Sophie Mutter Circle of Friends Foundation; she was recently awarded a 2007 Fellowship from the Borletti-Buitoni Trust. Future engagements include Bach’s Double concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter touring Scandinavia and Germany during 2007, a tour with the Amsterdam Symphony in Holland, and concerts with Danish and Norwegian Radio Orchestras, Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, Copenhagen Philharmonic, London Philharmonic and Singapore Symphony.
