With Enslaved’s latest masterpiece ‘Riitir’ makin its way across the globe, we revisit a not-to-be missed interview we did with the band’s Ivar Peersen earlier in 2012.

Enslaved’s latest album ‘Riitir’ sees its release in late Sep, and has already racked up an impressive array of favorable reviews. We celebrate the album-launch by featuring an interview done earlier this year with the Enslaved’s Ivar Peersen.

In February, Listen to Norway’s DJ99 aka Guttorm Andreasen hooked up with Enslaved’s Ivar Peersen to talk about musical cross pollination, inspirational sources, humour and his fascination for singer-songwriter Stein Torleif Bjella. The end result was a truly fascinating encounter with a highly likeable, hard-working extreme metaller:
