Music Inspiration Landscape 2007

1st International Choir Festival and competition Music Inspiration Landscape 2007 will take place in Riga and other towns of Latvia

It will be one of the biggest and most significant cultural events since the Republic of Latvia has joined the European Union. It will be a European–scale international cultural event, which will include concerts, a choir competition, a choir forum – master-classes and workshops – a cultural tourism programme, a traditional dance evening, and publications and promotion programmes in the local media and the media of the Baltic Sea region, as well as broadcasts of the events. Participants from European countries will gather in Riga and seven other towns in Latvia. The coming together of European and world choirs will be a cultural undertaking uniting participants representing diverse cultures and traditions, creating a common choral cultural space and in the long term developing a lasting structure for cultural dialogue among the people of Europe.
Our goal is to establish a high quality, well organized artistic and cultural event with the support of EU programme CULTURE 2000, Culture Department of the Riga City Council, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia and Local governments of Latvian regions and cities.
