Tomas Tellefsen performed in London

The complete solo piano works of Norwegian composer and pianist Tomas Tellefsen have been recorded by Natalia Strelchenko and will be released at Wigmore Hall 2 December.

Composer and pianist Thomas Tellefsen (born 1832) was taught by Frederic Chopin in Paris, who both became his friend and also influenced his musical style. During the 1850s and 1860s Tellefsen toured around Europe and enjoyed great success.
Natalia Strelchenko was born in 1976. After studies with Kaleria Sandovskaya at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and Professor Alexander Sandler at the St.Petersburg Conservatory she has been studying with Professor Einar Henning Smebye at the Norwegian State Academy of Music where she graduated in 2004.
The programme at Wigmore Hall includes Tellefsen’s Grande Polonaise, Mazurcas and Nocturnes as well as pieces from Rachmaninov and Balakirev. Time:
