In a three years period Norwegian music will be focused at the most important contemporary music festival in England.
The project is a cooperation between the Huddersfield Contemporay Music Festival, Music Information Centre Norwayl, the Royal Norwegian Embassy on England and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During this year's festival the Norwegian composers Rolf Wallin, Natasha Barret, Jon Øivind Ness, Lene Grenager, Trond Reinholdtsen, Ole Henrik Moe, and Arne Nordheim shall be performed by a.o. the violinists Peter Herresthal and Eldbjørn Hemsing, the pianist Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, the improvisation trio Rhodri Davies/Michael Duch/John Tilbury, Arditti String Quartet and London Sinfonietta. The Norwegian accordionist Frode Haltli, who has visited the festival at an annual basis since 2001, shall also participate.Location:
