Planet Noise is an electronica label that combines distribution through streaming and downloading of MP3 with conventional sales of CDs and vinyl. Planet Noise is also a virtual artists pool, a place where a number of animated musicians and DJs live. The label operates with an extended web site that includes sale of individual songs from their catalogue. The artists are presented as animated characters, with their own name and identity created especially for Planet Noise. The concept Planet Noise can best be described as a way of closing the gap between more traditional music distribution and the distribution of tomorrow.
