Composer, Organist

Nils Henrik Asheim has his education from the Norwegian State Academy of Music and the Sweelinck Conservatory, Amsterdam. He is one of the most established and active composers in his generation in Norway today. His list of works includes chamber music, music for symphony orchestra, theatre and computer-based works. Nils Henrik Asheim is also a prominent performer on organ and piano. As an organist he is especially renowned for his improvisational work. His has released two solo CDs "16 Pieces for Organ" og "19.03.04, Oslo Cathedral", and the latest one earned the Spellemannspris (Norwegian "Grammy").
