Claudia Scott (2006)

Claudia Scott
Artist

Claudia Scott moved to Nashville in 1999, the same year her album "Soul on Soul", "one of the best Norwegian albums of the decade" (acording to Dagbladet, one of Norway's leading newspapers..) was released. Scott is one of our most important artists, and makes her own hybrid of genres whether it is jazz, country or rock. Her songs are described by the critics as ethereal and beautiful, with lyrics, from the story about her grandmother in "The bell of Singapore", war seen through the eyes of a child in "Blood on the moon", or the love song "Unconditionally". The CD "Collection" consists of songs from the early 90’s until today, and  shows an artist who is not afraid to stake out her own personal course and style. Her latest CD John Clare's Dream shows Claudia for the very first time in an acoustic sertting..
