Jenny Hval is a Norwegian artist and writer. She has studied Creative Arts at the University of Melbourne and Comparative Literature at the University of Oslo. Her master's thesis was on Kate Bush and the singing voice as literature. Since 2006 she has released a novel three albums: To sing you apple trees (Trustme Records, 2006), Medea (Trustme Records, 2008) and Viscera (Rune Grammofon, 2011), as well as the novel Perlebryggeriet (Kolon, 2009).
