Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø

Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø (born in Trondheim 29.07.86) is a Norwegian trombonist involved with free jazz, contemporary/new- and improvised music. Since 2005 he has worked mainly with free-improvised music, and currently organises and plays in the bands Nørstebø/Myhr/Järmyr, As deafness increases, Teknokrat, Ensemble Coordonnateur and PerdieusNørstebøWakolbinger. Henrik also performs as a solo improviser. The CD "SOLO" was released on the Portuguese label Creative sources summer 2011. He is a member of the Oslo based new music ensemble "Aksiom" and the 32 piece "Önczkekvist improvising orchestra", with members from the Czech republic, Austria and Norway. In addition, occasional collaborations with: Nina de Heney (SE), Daniel Lercher (AT), Raymond Strid (SE), Naoko Sakata (JP), Tomas Jäderlund (SE) , Moritz Zopf (DE), Bernd Klug (AT), Danielle Dahl (N), Rosi Rehformen (AT) and Rasmus Borg (SE) Nørstebø finished a bachelor degree in music performance (improvisation/jazz) at the Academy of music and drama in Gothenburg spring 2011.
